Wally’s Lake is over 1.5 acres and is situated in a wooded valley and
is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the area.
The lake is approached through the riding stables and by following the
track down the hill. On arriving there are a variety of swims, the south
side providing the deeper part of the lake whilst the island end providing
shallower water ideal for surface fishing.
The lake provides coarse angling for all levels. Whether it’s your first time fishing for Roach or you are a keen carper looking for your first 20 lb fish. Naturally stocked with specimen Carp to nearly 30 lb, specimen Bream over 13 lb, Roach and Skimmer Bream.
When fishing for Carp a 36” landing net and unhooking mat are required and we would suggest a minimum of 12 lb line. Best baits have proven to be tiger nut boillies and halibut pellets for the Carp, sweetcorn and worm for the Bream and sweetcorn and maggots for the Roach and Skimmers.

Wally’s & Meadow Lake
We are limiting spaces on the lakes to four swims on Wally’s and six on Meadow. These will need to be STRICTLY BOOKED IN ADVANCE by calling 07340 736977 or emailing fishing@weymouthcamping.com. We will not be allowing fishermen to simply turn up and booking will be on a first come, first served basis.
Fishing will be on DAY TICKETS ONLY, between 8am and 8pm, and there will be no night fishing as our toilet facilities are not open.
When booking we will need your name, telephone number and car registration for contact tracing and security. Payment will need to be placed in an envelope containing these details and place in the payment box next to the passenger gate leading to the lakes.
There will be no vehicles allowed down to the lakes, we may be able to provide a ‘carry down’ service for older guests or those with a disability, but this will be subject to availability and should not be relied on.
Please either take your rubbish home with you (preferred option) or use the bins provided, but be aware these could be a route of cross-contamination. All usual fishing rules apply and are displayed at the top of the track.
Please do not arrive here if you or any of your household have symptoms of Covid-19, no matter how mild, remain home until the self-isolation period is over.
